Very few restaurants take element of gastronomy rather seriously be it taste, presentation, hospitality or ambience and the ones that do, their results are quite evident in the form of happy, loyal customers who are ready to return at the brink of the hat. Located right in front of Dubai Mall in the stylish Edition Hotel, Masti is one such restaurant whose award-winning portfolio says it all.
‘Masti’ means fun and mischief and Masti restaurant aptly infuses playfulness through its modern take on Indian food. The food is flavourful and colourful and the ambience resonates with the expression of ‘New Indian food’ which adds interesting global touches while adhering to authentic Indian roots. every dish at Masti is tantalising to the senses not just by virtue of taste but its visual appeal, too.
I loved everything about the restaurant right from the playful entrance, the ambience, vintage artefacts, the delightful dishes and the courteous and attentive service by our host Suman.
As vegetarians, we found umpteen choices and were pleasantly surprised with every creation from Avocado Pani Puris to Vada Bao, Chipotle Paneer Tikka to the Ulta Ghosla Alu Chaat. The mains were equally innovative and delectable with Choley Chowk Alu Tikki and Achaari Veg Masala served with Pickled Onion Naan and Garlic Naan. Vegetable Biryani with fried kale leaves was also a tasteful variant of the ubiquitous Biryani. We also loved the Rasmalai, which was beautifully crafted and presented. The mocktail choices were stunning, too. I particularly loved the Fig Brew.
I can safely vouch that Masti is a pleasing and sumptuous gastronomical experience, all food lovers must try it at least once, and you are bound to revisit. As for me, I’ll surely return to try their Business Lunch soon.
