What- A Normal Day

Where- Dar al Wasl, Dubai

Carefully tucked in the Dar Al Wasl Mall in Jumeirah, A Normal Day is briskly becoming a normal phenomenon for people looking for delicious meals at any time.  An all-day diner, its comforting and relaxed ambience is enough to pull in crowds for a casual chitter-chatter, catch up over coffee or for a full -blown meal.

It was my second time visit at this restaurant. My first experience at A Normal Day was so satiating that I was tempted for revisit, this time for dining though.

Beginnings with some fresh orange juice and Cant Decide(cold brew coffee mixed with fresh orange juice) set the perfect tone for the meal. We started off with Date Bonbons, the delicious date and salted butter slices served as confectionery were instant subjects of conversation. Hummus Plate served with Arabic bread was rather comforting. Tzatziki- a tantalizing combination of Greek yogurt, herbs and cucumber was refreshing. Roasted beetroot with feta and nuts was something that I tried for the first time and it didn’t disappoint either. Another accompaniment was Cacio- e pepe. The whole meal was delightfully delicious. The creamy white sauce pasta was the perfect way to end the meal.

If you are looking for meals in simplistic settings away from the hullaboo, then A Normal Day is just the right place for you. The timeless appeal, the gentleness of the decor and the classic and innovative food won us over and I would love to return to enjoy the great vibes and of course the food again.
